King’s Day

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Amsterdam will turn orange as we celebrate King’s Day. It’s the biggest event in the Netherlands, held annually for the king’s birthday on 27 April.

Will you be cruising the canals with your family, visiting a flea market with the kids, or partying with friends at one of the many festivals and events? King’s Day is a truly unique experience: dressed in orange and full of good cheer, the crowd becomes one.

A word of caution: King’s Day attracts over 800,000 visitors each year, so make sure to book your stay in advance!
